Negotiations will be direct and discreet, Netanyahu tells cabinet

The newly announced talks between Israel and the Palestinians will be conducted “with integrity and honesty,” and discreetly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the weekly cabinet meeting Sunday morning.

“It won’t be easy,” Netanyahu warned, “but we’re going into the negotiations with integrity and honesty.”

U.S. military drone surveillance is expanding to hot spots beyond declared combat zones

Fighters from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, filmed the charred wreckage on Sept. 18 and posted a video on YouTube. A narrator bragged unconvincingly that the group had shot down the drone. But for anyone who might doubt that the flying robot was really American, the video zoomed in on mangled parts stamped in English and bearing the label of the manufacturer, San Diego-based General Atomics.

Κούρδοι αιχμαλώτισαν ηγέτη των τζιχαντιστών στη Συρία

Κούρδοι μαχητές από τη Συρία που μάχονται ομάδες τζιχαντιστών, αιχμαλώτισαν έναν διοικητή του Ισλαμικού Κράτους στο Ιράκ και το Λεβάντε (EIIL), αργά το βράδυ του Σαββάτου, όπως ανακοίνωσε σήμερα το Συριακό Παρατηρητήριο Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων.

"Οι μάχες μεταξύ των Κούρδων και των τζιχαντιστών μαίνονται σε πολλά σημεία του Ταλ Αμπιάντ, στην επαρχία Ράκα αφότου οι πρώτοι συνέλαβαν τον αρχηγό του EIIL στην πόλη αυτή», διευκρίνισε η οργάνωση που βασίζει τις πληροφορίες της σε ένα ευρύ δίκτυο ακτιβιστών και γιατρών στη Συρία.
