Ο  James Clapper, διευθυντής της Εθνικής Υπηρεσίας Ασφαλείας των ΗΠΑ- NSA,  δήλωσε ότι παρά τις θετικές εξελίξεις κατά το 2013, στα Δυτικά Βαλκάνια, φέτος η περιοχή θα συνεχίσει να χαρακτηρίζεται από βαθιές πολιτικές και εθνοτικές διαιρέσεις.

EU Justice Commissioner attacks European 'hypocrisy' on spying

Some EU countries that have criticized US cyber surveillance are "hypocritical" as they themselves are failing to protect citizens' private information, the European Union's top justice official said on Tuesday. The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) agreed by the United Nations in 2000 (1) have made an unprecedented contribution to the fight against poverty. But with the 2015 deadline approaching, and in spite of significant progress, the MDGs are a long way from being achieved. Worldwide, 1.2 billion people still live on less than $1.25 a day. The MDGs that remain furthest from being reached include the targets on child and maternal health (MDGs 4 and 5) and transmissible diseases (MDG 6).

Κέρδισε η ΦΑΓΕ, έχασε η τουρκική Chobani

Απέρριψε, σήμερα, το αγγλικό Εφετείο την προσφυγή της Chobani για την υπόθεση «Greek yoghurt», σε όλα της τα σημεία, αρνούμενη να της επιτρέψει την τροποποίηση των αιτιών της προσφυγής της με την ενσωμάτωση νέων σημείων που αφορούν στο Ευρωπαϊκό Δίκαιο.

Αυτό αναφέρεται σε σχετική ανακοίνωση και υπενθυμίζεται ότι η Chobani είχε προσπαθήσει να πείσει το Εφετείο ότι πολλά από τα ευρήματα της πρωτόδικης απόφασης ήταν λανθασμένα. Το Εφετείο απέρριψε πάλι τα επιχειρήματα παρατηρώντας μάλιστα για αρκετά από εκείνα τα ευρήματα ότι ήταν πράγματι «ανεπίδεκτα προσβολής».
